How to configure Forticlient SSL-VPN
Fortinet firewalls offer the ability to use a secure access connection to your internal company network from a remote location. The information needed to configure the VPN is being provided by your IT service provider.
Here are the steps to correctly configure your Forticlient VPN.
1- Download Forticlient VPN Only from the Fortinet Website. You can use the link provided below.
2- Install the downloaded software on your PC. There is a mobile version as well and the steps are the same as a regular workstation.
3- Click Configure VPN.
4- Customize the new window with the information provided by your IT service provider.
- Check Customize port if a port different to Default 443 is provided.
- Check Authentication and select Save Login if the workstation you are connecting from is Trusted, if not, leave Prompt on Login.
- Click Save.
5- Access the VPN with your Username and Password provided by your IT department and click Connect.
