How to add a distinctive ringtone to Inbound and Internal calls

Our platform offers the ability to add different ringtones depending on the direction of the call. Inbound calls can have a different ringtone than internal ones. 

Here are the configuration steps to successfully make the change to the account. 

  1. Go to the Call Queues TAB and click on the Inbound Call Queue that receives the incoming calls on the account. For example: External DID 305-503-7782 is routed to Call Queue 4000
  2. Got to the Department Field and write Inbound.
  3. Go to the Users Tab and click on a user you wish to have a different ringtone when receiving an outbound or an internal call. 
  4. Go to the Department Field and write Internal. This step is the same for other users as well. 
  5. Go to the selected User's Phone Tab and go to the pencil next to his current phone. 
  6. Go to the Field Overrides at the bottom and paste the following commands. 
    1. distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.1.ringer="4"
    2. distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.1.text="Internal"
    3. distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.2.ringer="7"
    4. distinctive_ring_tones.alert_info.2.text="Inbound"

Note: 
***You can change the number of the ringer value to any available ringtone on the phone. Instead of 4, it could be 1 (default sound for any calls)***

Important:
***If you want to have a distinctive Ring Tone for Transferred Calls you have to press the Transfer Key in the middle of the call, dial the Extension, and press the Transfer key again, 2 times. Do not press the Blind Transfer key.***
