How to Send a Fax from Email Using FaxBack

What You Need Before You Start

  • An active FaxBack account.

  • A valid email address that is authorized to send faxes through your FaxBack account.

  • The fax number of the recipient

Step-by-Step: How to Send a Fax From Email

1. Open your email application

You can use Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo Mail, or any other email provider.

2. Compose a new email

Click New Email or Compose.

3. Address the email using the fax format

In the To: field, enter the recipient’s fax number followed by:

fax_number@send.fax.solutions

Example:

15551234567@send.fax.solutions

Important:

  • Do not include spaces or dashes in the fax number.

  • Use the full 10- or 11-digit number depending on your region.

4. Attach the documents you want to fax

Attach PDF, DOCX, XLSX, JPG, or other supported file formats.
The attached files become the fax pages.

5. Write an optional cover page message

Anything typed in the email body will be included as the fax cover page.

If you do not want a cover page, leave the email body empty.

6. Click “Send”

Your email will be converted into a fax and delivered to the recipient’s fax machine.

How You’ll Know the Fax Was Sent

After your fax is processed, FaxBack will send a delivery confirmation email to your inbox.
This will let you know:

  • If the fax was delivered successfully, or

  • If there were issues (such as a busy line or an invalid number)

Tips & Troubleshooting

  • Fax not sending? Could you double-check the fax number format?

  • Didn’t receive a confirmation email? Check your spam folder.

  • Attachments not sending? Make sure your file size is within the allowed limit and uses a supported format.
